Today I learned that whenever you go live in a foreign you have to keep in mind that many of the things you are adapted to in your native country might not be the same in another country. For example in Japan, Christmas isn't as religious as in the U.S and is more of way to celebrate the birthdate of the present emperor. The Japanese celebrate this by mkaing 'Christmas Cake' and having 'Christmas chicken' on December 23d. Basically it's more of a way to show affection to loved ones in your life instead of being the all religious and jolly holiday we know and love today in the U.S





This is how a Christmas Cake would look like in Japan , very simple yet very tasteful looking.
